Screw Clamps

Terrier Screw Clamps are available in two different models:

TSCC/TSCC-W
TBS

OPERATING PRINCIPLE: The Terrier safety TSCC lifting clamps are named after the safety mechanism which is made up of a spindle pivot and a cam. On tightening the spindle, there will be constant pressure on the pivot and cam. The clamp, therefore, cannot slip upon taking up the load. When lifting the load, the clamping strength of the clamp is increased by the weight of the load and the angle of the cam. Also, when depositing a load, the clamp cannot spontaneously let go. TBS lifting clamps feature a screw thread mechanism consisting of a threaded spindle and two spindle nuts. As soon as the spindle has been actuated, this mechanism ensures that a constant clamping force is applied by the jaws. In this way the clamp will not work itself loose from the object. The linked clamping parts ensure that the clamping force continues, which means that the load continues to be held firmly. As there is no cam and pivot arrangement the object to be lifted does not become damaged. PERMITTED APPLICATIONS: The TSCC screw clamp is suitable for vertical and horizontal lifting and transporting of a large variety of materials and objects as steel structures, ferrous and non-ferrous metal plates, wood, plastic, concrete etc. The TBS bulb screw clamps have been specifically designed for the provision on a bulb profile of a temporary lifting point. Beam Lifting

Beam Lifting Clamps

The Beam lifting clamps from Terrier comes in three different types:

FBK
FSV / FSVS / FSVSU
TOBK

OPERATING PRINCIPLE The FBK safety beam lifting clamp has especially been developed for the lifting of steel beams. A special lifting shackle is used to place the centre of gravity of the beam to be lifted directly beneath the lifting shackle. This maintains the equilibrium of the beam, once it is lifted. The FBK lifting clamp features a safety mechanism consisting of a locking device, a tension spring and a lever. Once the lever is operated, the safety mechanism provides constant pretensioning of the cam on the steel plate, thus ensuring that the clamp does not slip when the lifting force is applied. When a load is being lifted, the clamping force on the cam is increased by the weight of the load. It also ensures that the clamp will not work itself loose from the plate when the lifting force is off the clamp

The FSV/FSV(S)(U) lifting clamps feature a screw thread mechanism consisting of a threaded spindle and two-spindle nuts. As soon as the spindle has been actuated, this mechanism ensures that a constant clamping force is applied by the jaws. In this way, the clamp will not work itself loose from the object.

The TOBK clamps are specifically designed for horizontal lifting and transporting steel beams, sections and construction parts. The TOBK has a lock-in an open and closed position. The TOBK can be used for lifting beams at the sides or at the heads. TOBK clamps should always be used in pairs. Non-Marking Lifting

Terrier non-marking lifting Clamps are available in four different models.

TNMK / STNMK
TNMH
TBLC
TNMK-A

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS For TNMK & TNMK-A: Position the opened clamp onto the plate correctly and completely, in such a way that the clamp’s clamping blocks are in full contact with the plate. Apply the safety locking device. The clamp will close and remain onto the plate in pretensioned position. The plate is now ready to be hoisted. Once the load has reached its destination, the safety clamp may be removed. To do so, make sure to lower the crane hook until the clamp is fully unloaded. This can be verified by the slackness of the hoisting chain and a free movement of the clamp’s lifting shackle and chain. Next, move the safety locking device towards the clamping blocks. This will open up the clamp and leave it in the opened position. The clamp may be used again immediately or stored in the opened position. The TNMH horizontal safety lifting clamp is specifically been designed for the horizontal lifting and transporting of non-bending steel plates. This clamp consists of a body, cam, and cam pin. The cam also functions as a lifting shackle and ensures that the load is held firmly while it is being lifted. APPLICATIONS: The TNMK has been equipped with two clamping jaws, which have been provided with a special plastic layer. The clamp is used for hoisting, turning, or vertically transporting workpieces that may not be damaged while being moved. These pieces may be made from various materials, such as stainless steel, aluminium, wood or stone, but with the exclusion of course concrete. After hoisting, the clamp will not leave any signs of damage. The clamp is locked in both the open and the closed position. The TNMH lifting clamp is only suitable for lifting and horizontal movement of non-bending steel plates and structures where it is possible to position the clamp on a flat point of contact. The clamp should always be used in pairs or multiples thereof. However, preferably with a load spreader beam. The clamps consist of a body, cam, and cam pin. The cam also functions as a lifting shackle and ensures that the load is held firmly while it is being lifted PERMITTED APPLICATIONS: Terrier FHX, FHSX, FHX-V lifting clamps are only suitable for lifting and horizontal movement of non-bending steel plates and structures where it is possible to position the clamp on a flat point of contact. The clamps should always be used in pairs or multiples thereof. In the latter case, however, preferably with a load spreader beam. Terrier TDH lifting clamps are only suitable for lifting and horizontal movement of both bending steel plates and formed steel plates, where it is possible to position the clamp on a flat point of contact. TDH clamps should always be used in pairs or multiples thereof. Terrier THSK clamps are only suitable for horizontal movement of steel plates and packages of steel plates, where it is possible to position the clamp on a flat point of contact. The clamps should always be used in pairs or multiples thereof. In the latter case, however, preferably with a load equalising beam. Provided that the steel plate of plates do not bend (deflect), one or more plates can be hoisted at once per lift. When pairs or multiple clamps are used, each damp should carry an equal part of the load.

Pipe Clamps

The Pipe Clamps from Terrier are available in three different types:

TPH/TPH-HD
TTL
TBC/TBC-A

AUTHORISED APPLICATIONS Terrier TPH(-HD) pipe hooks have a high-performance bearing surface finished with a plastic coating, which is easy to replace. Terrier TPH(-HD) pipe hooks are used exclusively for horizontal lifting and transporting of pipes. The hooks can only be used in pairs using a two-leg sling or spreader beam. Compact and lightweight in design, Terrier TPH(-HD) pipe hooks have a high lifting capacity. The TTL lifting clamps are specifically designed for horizontal lifting and transporting tubes, bundles of tubes and round material. The Terrier TTL lifting clamp includes 4 clamping jaws, a lifting eye and a lock for the open position. The clamp is locked in an open position. The clamp closes by turning the lever away and moving the lifting eye upwards. The device is now ready for lifting. The clamp opens automatically when the load is put down. For lifting the aforementioned materials, the TTL safety clamps can be used per item or with several clamps simultaneously. It is important that the load is equally divided over each clamp when using 2 or more clamps. It is recommended to use an spreader beam in that case. Drum Clamps

Terrier Drum Clamps are available in three different types:

TVKH
TVSH
TVK

OPERATING PRINCIPLE: The TVK and TVKH vertical safety lifting clamps have been specifically and exclusively designed for the vertical lifting of steel drums. The TVK and TVKH clamps consist of a body, cam & cam pins. The cam also functions as a lifting shackle and ensures that the drum is held firmly while it is being lifted. Terrier TVSH safety clamps are only suitable for lifting (oil)drums where the drums have to stay in a laying position. PERMITTED APPLICATIONS: The TVKH clamp is used individually. When lifting the drum must remain in a vertical position at all times. The TVK clamp may be used individually or with other clamps using a two-way or four-way intersection. If a drum is hoisted using only one TVK lifting clamp, the drum may get damaged. To avoid this, the drum should be hoisted using two lifting clamps at the same time. To guarantee safe hoisting, the TVK clamp has been pretensioned. TVSH safety clamps are used individually. TVSH clamps are specially designed for lifting, handling and transporting (oil) drums in a horizontal position.
