Midgrab Shortner MIG | The MIG can instantly be mounted and positioned on any part of a chain sling, which makes it ideal for long chain legs as shortening can be made close to the bottom instead of in the top. The innovative design allows shortening in both chain directions, up or down, and it also helps prevent inadvertent chain disengagement. When shortening is not needed and the MIG is not used, it can either be set idle on the chain leg or be removed from the chain sling.

Back in 1952, Gunnebo Industries launched the Coupling G-link. This invention changed the industry of lifting equipment. Prior to the G-link, the standard was to use all-welded chain slings, an expensive and time-consuming process as each and every chain sling ordered had to be assembled in the chain factory. With the G-link chain slings could be assembled in local sling shops closer to customers, creating more effective and flexible processes. Besides a perfect design, the G-link is equipped with a special pin retention system. The pin has a recession in the middle where the locking bush holding a Helicoil shaped spring lies. The design of the pin, spring, and bush guarantees safe retention of the locking bush, in case the wire of the spring should break.

Following are the different type of Grade 10 master links Gunnebo offers:

Master Grab (MG) – A fully self-contained master link for a 1-Leg adjustable chain sling.
Master Grab Dual (MGD) – A fully self-contained master link for a 2-Leg adjustable chain sling.
Master link with engineered flat (MF). Using C-Connectors the MF is used for 1, 2, 3, and 4-Leg chain slings.
Master link with engineered flat (MFX) used for 1 or 2-Leg chain slings.
